{"id":2508,"date":"2016-11-07T21:20:25","date_gmt":"2016-11-07T21:20:25","guid":{"rendered":"\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=2508"},"modified":"2018-03-04T19:45:26","modified_gmt":"2018-03-04T19:45:26","slug":"release-1_0_5-changes","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/release-1_0_5-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Release 1_00_5 Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What is new in the<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> SNIP<\/span> 1_00_5 release<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 [November 7th 2016]<br \/>\nThis is a <em>minor<\/em> service release of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> following after the rev 1_0_0 release of last month.\u00a0 It is recommended for all users and is now the primary download.\u00a0 At this writing, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong> <\/span>is now being used in over one hundred countries to operate <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/question-what-is-an-ntrip-caster\/\">NTRIP Caster<\/a> networks.<\/p>\n<p>The primary improvements made from release <strong>1_0_0<\/strong> are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some users asked to be able to have all NTRIP clients sending <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/nmea-gga-strings-in-ntrip-clients\/\">NMEA-183<\/a> sentences back to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> to allow them to track the location of these users.\u00a0 An override option has been added to the preferences menu to always assert the &lt;send nema&gt; flag in the Caster table entries to accommodate this request. <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/subtle-issues-with-using-ntrip-client-nmea-183-strings\/\">This article<\/a> describes various issues with using the NMEA $GPGGA sentence in this way in more detail.\u00a0 Now the last location of any clients that support sending <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/nmea-gga-strings-in-ntrip-clients\/\">NMEA-183<\/a> sentences can be tracked as described <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/nmea-gga-strings-in-ntrip-clients\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>When <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/question-what-is-an-ntrip-client\/\">NTRIP Clients<\/a> are connected to a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> Caster and where autonomous user connections are disabled (you are running <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> in a <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/managing-user-accounts\/\">closed mode)<\/a>, the console log will now refer to these clients using the users log-on account names (&#8220;bob&#8221;) rather than the arbitrary client connection number (&#8220;#C123&#8221;).\u00a0 A few changes in the report produced by the command <em><strong>List Current Users&#8230;<\/strong><\/em> also support this feature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>An issue with the periodic license checking used in <em><strong>Basic<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Pro<\/strong> <\/em>and <em><strong>Enterprise<\/strong> <\/em>editions has been corrected.
