It is recommended for all users and is now the primary download. At this writing, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> is now being used in over one hundred countries to operate NTRIP Caster networks.<\/p>\n<p>The primary improvements made from release 1_0_5 are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Many new users were having connection issues when they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/how-to-register-snip\/\">registered<\/a> with the license server over https: This was traced to some socket security issues on new machines which have been corrected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Corrected minor text details regarding how unused slot counts were reported in some dialogs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The weekly connection log now contains a list of all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/question-what-is-an-ntrip-client\/\">NTRIP Client<\/a> connections (as well as all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/question-what-is-an-ntrip-caster\/\">Caster <\/a>connections) which will be used to display the location of current and historical NTRIP Client connection over the world wide base maps.\u00a0 The ability to display and plot the user set is still in development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The warnings for the ten-day grace period when a general license validation fails to occur have been changed, as well as the time out logic used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Minor dialog window sizes and CSS used have been adjusted to produce a better display when the windows machine is using larger sized fonts as the display default.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The bulk of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/\">knowledge base articles<\/a> have been moved from the <a href=\"http:\/\/support.use-snip.com\">support.use-snip.com<\/a> site to now be at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\">use-snip.com\/kb<\/a>\u00a0 to produce a more pleasing user experience with the main download pages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/running-snip-for-the-very-first-time\/\">very first time<\/a> that a user connection for any new <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> installation runs it connects to some representative RTCM streams to show the systems working. \u00a0 One of these, named <strong>&#8220;LORS&#8221;<\/strong>, was struck by lightning nearly a month ago and is not yet repaired and replace.
