The PFAT<\/strong> feature<\/a> provides a number of proprietary methods to control the Base Station Data stream content sent to your end users (NTRIP Clients<\/a>).\u00a0 Using PFAT<\/strong>, a single data stream can be replicated in several ways, with different message contents and a different frame of reference.\u00a0\u00a0 SNIP<\/strong><\/span> is the only NTRIP Caster<\/a> to provide such features.<\/p>\n

The PFAT<\/strong> features are enabled during the initial evaluation period for SNIP<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0 When you register SNIP<\/strong><\/span>, the resulting set of product features depends on the license model you select; ranging from our Lite<\/em><\/strong><\/span> (free<\/em>) models to our professional grade Pro<\/em><\/strong><\/span> models of SNIP<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 You can upgrade at any time.<\/p>\n

Small Networks<\/h3>\n

If you are running a small network with the free Lite<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>model of SNIP<\/strong><\/span>, the PFAT<\/strong> features are not enabled for use.\u00a0 It is likely you can simply control the GNSS devices which make up your network and achieve many of the same things. You can upgrade your copy to a Basic<\/em><\/strong><\/span> model at any time should you need to use PFAT<\/strong> or any of the other paid features.<\/p>\n

Basic Networks<\/h3>\n

In the Basic <\/strong><\/span><\/em>model of SNIP<\/strong><\/span>, the PFAT<\/strong> features are fully enabled for use on up to three streams<\/em> at once.\u00a0 Using the PFAT<\/strong> features on additional streams required upgrading to the Pro<\/em><\/strong><\/span> model.<\/p>\n

The number of PFAT<\/strong> functions which are performed on each stream are not limited or counted.\u00a0 For example, one might set up a Base Station stream to: parse<\/a> the stream, filter<\/a> to remove unwanted message content, add<\/a> content from another steam (such as precise clock source), then translate<\/a> the transmitted ECEF value to another datum, and and finally express the a source MSM 1077 style message as a 1004 style message to support older GNSS devices.\u00a0 So this example would represent one use<\/em> of PFAT.<\/p>\n

Pro Networks<\/h3>\n

In the Pro <\/strong><\/em><\/span>model of SNIP<\/strong><\/span>, there are no limits or restriction on the use of the PFAT<\/strong> features on any streams.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Shift multiple Base Stations from multiple mixed datums to a common system<\/li>\n
  • Remove Ant Ht values so all uses get MT1005 coordinates<\/li>\n
  • Remove unwanted GNSS data types from the data stream<\/li>\n
  • Assert ADVNULLANTENNA on Base Station Details<\/li>\n
  • Etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
