{"id":534,"date":"2016-03-04T23:51:33","date_gmt":"2016-03-04T23:51:33","guid":{"rendered":"\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=534"},"modified":"2018-11-02T17:16:46","modified_gmt":"2018-11-02T17:16:46","slug":"the-pushed-streams-tab","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/the-pushed-streams-tab\/","title":{"rendered":"The Pushed-In Streams tab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3914\" src=\"\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/PushInTab.png\" alt=\"PushInTab\" width=\"800\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/PushInTab.png 800w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/PushInTab-300x144.png 300w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/PushInTab-768x369.png 768w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/PushInTab-50x24.png 50w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/PushInTab-600x288.png 600w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/PushInTab-320x154.png 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Pushed-In Stream <\/strong>tab is used to view, create, and manage in-bound connections from NTRIP Server devices which you want <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> to serve.\u00a0 These are often called <strong>PUSH-In<\/strong> streams, these streams come to your <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong> <\/span>node from remote NTRIP Servers sending you data.\u00a0 Your typical remote GNSS device acts as an <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/question-what-is-an-ntrip-server\/\">NTRIP Server<\/a> (sorry for the choice of name) and connects to the <strong>PUSH-In<\/strong> tab.\u00a0\u00a0 In order to connect, these devices need the password which you control and provide to them.<\/p>\n<h3>Check boxes which bear further mention&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Allow Connection<\/strong> check box, when checked, allows new connections to occur, if they are well formed and know the system password which you have set (see <em>Details<\/em> below for how).\u00a0 When this check box is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> checked, no inbound connections can occur (reserved or otherwise).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Start As Parsed<\/strong> check box, when checked, will parse all incoming data streams for RTCM 3.x content.\u00a0 As a result of this, the Caster Table entry for this stream will typically be filled in with correct data automatically after about the first ~120 seconds.\u00a0 This provides a convenient way to fill in message details and other tedious error prone information. This ability is only provided for RTCM 3.x streams, not for non-standard proprietary data.\u00a0 When\/if a caster table entry with content in a given field is provided during the initial connection, it will be used.\u00a0 When this check box is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> checked, no parsing occurs and the data stream is treated as a bent <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/using-snip-as-a-bent-pipe\/\">pipe mode<\/a> where all content sent to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> is passed on to the connected clients.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Start As Logged<\/strong> check box, when checked, will cause a log file to be made of the raw data.\u00a0 When this check box is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> checked, no logging occurs.<\/p>\n<h3>Reservations<\/h3>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> Caster supports reservation system where each <strong>PUSH-In<\/strong> stream can have its own pre-established settings and controls.\u00a0 See <a href=\"\/kb\/knowledge-base\/reserving-pushed-mountpoint\/\">this <\/a>article for further details.\u00a0 Whenever possible, use the reservation system as this will ensure better record keeping for your connected devices.<\/p>\n<h3>Details<\/h3>\n<p>See <a
