2_06_00 Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What is new in the<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> SNIP<\/span> 2_06_00 release<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211; released November 8th<br \/>\n(updating the prior release of 2_05_01 on October 9th 2018)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the next release of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> following the Rev 2_05_01 release of October.\u00a0 This release contains a number of refinements to different areas of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> in response to user requests.\u00a0 Further improvement in how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/pfat-main-dialog\/\">PFAT<\/a> works when vanity names are used, major increases in MSM message decoding and a new Translate ability for adding ADVNULLANTENNA into messages when needed.\u00a0 It is recommended that all deployments upgrade to this edition.<\/p>\n<p>This release supports both 32-bit and 64-bit installations in Windows.\u00a0 It is recommended that all Windows 32\/64 <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> installations now update to using this release.\u00a0 The 64-bit Ubuntu release with identical features remains pending at this time.<\/p>\n<h2>Notable changes in the release include<\/h2>\n<p>Changes were made to several key areas of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> including:<\/p>\n<h3>MSM Message decoding added to RTCM Viewer<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/RCTMviewerToolTip.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5844 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/RCTMviewerToolTip.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/RCTMviewerToolTip.png 500w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/RCTMviewerToolTip-300x240.png 300w, sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The RTCM3 Decoder dialog has been improved to support the detailed decoding of MSM messages.<\/li>\n<li>Described more fully <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/decoding-msm-messages\/\">in this article<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Several other RTCM3.x message types\u00a0 are now decoded as well.<\/li>\n<li>Message signal types are denoted using RINEX terms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>New Translate PFAT Control for Station Text Data<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/PendNULLant_Image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5766 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/PendNULLant_Image.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"235\" article<\/a>, another PFAT translate control.<\/li>\n<li>The control allows changing and adding descriptive text about the base station.<\/li>\n<li>The primary initial use is to add ADV NULL ANTENNA text to selected Base Stations.<\/li>\n<li>This is described more fully <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/setting-advnullantenna\/\">in this article<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other Changes of Note<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Some further logic improvements in the way vanity names are handled have been added.<\/li>\n<li>Various minor changes to the labels used to display and track connected Base Station from user input.<\/li>\n<li>Each Stream is highlighted wherever PFAT operations are active on it.\u00a0 Along with similar highlighting for any non-parsed streams, this aids the operator to quickly see how the stream has been set up.<\/li>\n<li>Minor changes to web pages to remove odd characters due to cross language issues.<\/li>\n<li>Improved handling of ill formed NMEA sentences when the checksum value was very ill formed.<\/li>\n<li>Counts of SVs shown in RTCM table entries are shown only for matching GNSS types, not all SVs present.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Updating<\/h3>\n<p>Like all Rev 2.x releases on the Windows platform, one-click and painless !\u00a0 The built-in installer will inform you when a new release is issued.\u00a0 You can also check on this manually at any time.<\/p>\n<p>When you upgrade (there is no reason not to) the installer will download the new image and install itself, leaving all of your current settings in place.\u00a0 The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> node is taken offline for about 90 seconds before service can
