{"id":5992,"date":"2019-01-27T23:15:15","date_gmt":"2019-01-27T23:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=5992"},"modified":"2019-06-24T03:19:46","modified_gmt":"2019-06-24T03:19:46","slug":"release-2_07_00-changes","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/release-2_07_00-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Release 2_07_00 Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What is new in the<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> SNIP<\/span> 2_07_00 release<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211; released January 27<br \/>\n(updating the prior release of 2_06_00 on November 8th 2018)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the next release of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> following the Rev 2_06 release.\u00a0 This release contains a number of major new features as well as several more minor <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> improvements in response to user requests.\u00a0 It is recommended that all deployments upgrade to this edition.<\/p>\n<p>This release supports both 32-bit and 64-bit installations in Windows.\u00a0 It is recommended that all Windows 32\/64 <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> installations now update to using this release.\u00a0 The 64-bit Ubuntu release with identical features remains pending at this time.<\/p>\n<h2>Notable changes in the release include<\/h2>\n<p>Changes include several newly added features in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> including:<\/p>\n<h3>Linked Reports<\/h3>\n<p>Much more extensive Use of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/links-links-links\/\">Linked reports<\/a> between the Base Stations, the Users, and the IP addresses involved. This feature was requested by users with CMR+ streams and also those with uBlox binary streams.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6001\" src=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/NonParsedToolTip.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/NonParsedToolTip.png 680w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/NonParsedToolTip-300x106.png 300w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/NonParsedToolTip-50x18.png 50w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/NonParsedToolTip-600x212.png 600w, https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/NonParsedToolTip-320x113.png 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Trial Offer for <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>Lite<\/strong><\/em><\/span> Users<\/h3>\n<p>A new <em>Trial Offer<\/em> feature has been implemented to allow existing <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>Lite<\/strong><\/em><\/span> model users of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> to experience newly released features and consider upgrading their <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> model.\u00a0 This feature is offered to the user for the first three times <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> is started after a new upgrade.\u00a0 At each start, the user is given the opportunity to try the new features for several hours.\u00a0 Installations with a paid <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> license (<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>Basic<\/strong><\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>Pro<\/strong> <\/em><\/span>or <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>Enterprise<\/strong><\/em><\/span>) do not see this, as they already can use the new features.\u00a0 If you are upgrading a <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>Lite<\/strong><\/em><\/span> model to <strong>Rev 2.07<\/strong> you will see this when you restart.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Other Changes of Note<\/h3>\n<p>In addition, many minor improvements have been added in this release including:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Additional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/rtcm-3-message-list\/\">RTCM 3.x<\/a> Combined Orbit and Clock Correction messages are now decoded (MT1060, 1066) in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/using-the-rtcm3-decoder-dialog\/\">RTCM viewer<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The full set of station details and editors for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/introducing-pfat\/\">PFAT<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/translating-base-station-details\/\">Base Station Translation<\/a> function is now completed and released.\u00a0 This was first released in Rev <strong>2.06<\/strong> to allow users to replacing various Base Station details with any operator defined string (such as NULLANTENNA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/nearest-streams-tab\/\">NEAR stream<\/a> style has been created that allows combining different Trimble data streams with the message types from CMR, CMR+, CMRx, sCMRx, into a single NEAR stream in response to a user request.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A slow time-out option has been added to in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/the-relay-streams-tab\/\">Remote-Relay<\/a> stream connections setup to support precise clock and orbit data products. These data products send message traffic much more slowly and this prevents time out events from the default ~12 second threshold.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Removed the &#8220;unknown error&#8221; note on NTRIP Client disconnect events (when in fact there was no error present).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Corrected a minor bug where <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> returned a Caster Table and also &#8220;SNIP2SNIP&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/snip-2-snip-messages\/\">connection advice<\/a> to other <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> nodes when only a Caster Table request was made.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Corrected a minor bug in the Base Station <em>tool tips<\/em> logic where a non-zero the Ant Height value was not shown unless other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/base-station-details\/\">station details<\/a> were also shown.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Added web site support for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/add-on-stream-licenses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bulk slot purchases<\/a> (25, 50, 100 slots) to ease installation flow for those deploying larger networks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> now returns a &#8220;favicon&#8221; whenever a browser device mistakenly tries to log on to a Base Station stream and then requests its icon.
