{"id":6101,"date":"2019-04-03T23:58:23","date_gmt":"2019-04-03T23:58:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=6101"},"modified":"2020-08-06T18:57:17","modified_gmt":"2020-08-06T18:57:17","slug":"caster-entry-auto-complete","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.use-snip.com\/kb\/knowledge-base\/caster-entry-auto-complete\/","title":{"rendered":"Caster Entry Auto Complete"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When Reverse Geo IP services are active on a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> node, the gross location of a mountPt in a caster Table entry can be completed using the Geo IP data, if no data is provided by the data sender.\u00a0 If the data sender provides this data, the provided data is always used.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;city name&#8221; and the 3-digit ISO country code are auto completed in this way.\u00a0 Because the precise city used in the data base is often the largest nearby city the term &#8220;Is near&#8221; is added to text displayed.<\/p>\n<p>The resultant modified caster string can be examined with the slot&#8217;s right-click menu command<em><strong> Display Caster Entry<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Here is an example of this in use:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<pre>[<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>KO_base<\/strong><\/span>]: \u00a0\u00a0The current Caster Entry for [I5301] KO_base is:\r\nThe <em>Modified<\/em> public entry with various changes (due to current settings and analysis) is shown below it\r\n\r\nSTR;KO_base;;RTCM 3.2;1005(1),1077(1),1127(1);;GPS;SNIP;XXX;34.59;133.85;0;0;sNTRIP;none;N;N;5100;\r\nSTR;KO_base;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Is near: Kita Ward, Okayama<\/strong><\/span>;RTCM 3.2;1005(1),1077(1),1127(1);;GPS;SNIP;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">JPN<\/span>;34.59;133.85;1;0;sNTRIP;none;N;N;5100;\r\n\r\n<strong>Note:<\/strong> Several differences found in the two strings.<\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first line is the result of the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>SNIP<\/strong><\/span> auto-parse process based on the stream&#8217;s message content.\u00a0 That is, this connection provided no data about itself or its contents.\u00a0 The second line shows the use of the Reverse Geo IP services to add city and country details (shown in <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">orange<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>If the location of the Base Station is plotted the, precise (mm level) location found in the RTCM MT1005\/1006 message is used.\u00a0 Generally the Base Station location can be presumed to be very accurate, while a reverse geo location is not.
