The Serial Streams tab

The Serial Stream tab is used to view, create, and manage the serial UART stream connections to data sources which you want SNIP to serve.  A right click pop-up menu (shown above) is used to control the settings for each stream.

Each serial stream has additional unique needs that other streams do not have, including the UART serial connection details, optional setup and shut down command sequence to the device, and the Caster table mountPt details which must be provided.  These are each handled at the start of the menu items, while the rest of the menu items follow the same common controls used in other streams.
